North Area Outpatient

The North Area Outpatient Clinic provides outpatient counseling, psychiatric evaluation and medication management to adults and children who live in the northern portions of Brevard County. In addition to these services, the Case Management Program, Employee Assistance and Access Center operate in Titusville.

Central Area Outpatient

The Rockledge component of our Outpatient Services provides outpatient counseling to adults and children. The counselors at the Central Area facility are highly trained and provide individual, group and family counseling and psychological evaluation for clients with various short- and long-term problems. Therapeutic services in Rockledge, as in our other outpatient facilities, are provided under the supervision of a board-certified psychiatrist. This location also provides psychiatric evaluation and medication management for adults, children and adolescents. One of our pharmacies is located at this facility.

South Area Outpatient

Individual, group and family counseling as well as psychiatric services are available in our Melbourne facility Monday through Friday. Staffed by highly qualified therapists, this facility provides counseling to adults in the South Brevard area. This location also provides psychiatric and psychological evaluation, medication management and outpatient counseling for adults and children. This clinic (as are our other outpatient facilities) is staffed by board-certified psychiatrists and highly trained, clinical specialists in child, adolescent, family and individual and group counseling. Community Support Programs

The Community Support Program is a specialized daily program designed to treat persons who have psychiatric problems but who do not need hospitalization. These individuals participate in a structured therapeutic program that is more intensive and supportive than outpatient care.

Residential services are offered at this location and at nearby apartments which permit more independent living The Case Management program is an essential support to clients living in the community.

Intake Services - Melbourne

This program serves two functions. One is to provide crisis counseling, information and referral services twenty-four hours per day seven days per week. These services are accessed by telephone or on a walk-in basis. A second function is to screen and evaluate admissions to the hospital units.

Childrens Crisis Stabilization Unit (CCSU)

The Childrens Crisis Stabilization Unit(CCSU) is a state licensed 16 bed inpatient program to treat psychiatric emergencies that are not safe to be managed on an outpatient basis and to provide detoxification and stabilization services for substance abuse crisis situations affecting children and adolescents. Most clients are admitted on an involuntary basis under the provisions of the Baker or Marchman Acts for involuntary treatment. The staff are highly qualified, under the leadership of a Board Certified psychiatrist, and work intensively with the children or adolescents and their parents to return them to outpatient care as quickly as possible.

Harbor Pines

Harbor Pines is a 28-bed inpatient crisis stabilization unit. This program primarily treats indigent clients who meet the criteria as stated in the Florida Mental Health Act (Baker Act). Clients are screened by an Intake Counselor and admitted on either a voluntary or involuntary basis. This unit has high utilization, high occupancy and is a cornerstone of the emergency mental health system.

Clients discharged from this unit are usually followed in our outpatient, case management, residential or other appropriate programs.

Sheridan Oaks

Sheridan Oaks is our 24-bed psychiatric inpatient facility that was established in 1986 to provide the ability for private practice psychiatrists to hospitalize their patients in need of inpatient psychiatric care. This unit meets the inpatient needs of mentally ill, chemically dependent , dually diagnosed and geriatric individuals.

After discharge from Sheridan Oaks, clients receive continuing care from their referring physician, or from other appropriate Circles of Care programs.

Twin Rivers Treatment Center

Twin Rivers is a comprehensive detoxification and intensive residential program for the treatment of chemical dependency. Medical services, individual, group and familty therapy, and education are all provided to assist adults in developing a substance-free lifestyle.

Outreach Services

The Outreach Services of Circles of Care is uniquely designed to meet the behavioral needs of children and their and families primarily through In-Home and On-Site counseling and case management services. Qualified clinicians who cover the entire Brevard County area provide Children's Targeted Case Management services along with individual, group, and family counseling. Comprehensive wrap-around behavioral services are also provided in residential sites such as those housing children from the Department of Children and Families or the Department of Juvenile Justice and in several homeless shelters in Brevard County. In addition, federal, state, and local grant initiatives are often conducted to further the mission of Circles of Care through our Outreach Services Center.
